The Queen's Own Cameron Highlanders of Canada
In celebration of Indigenous Awareness Week, the Queen’s Own Cameron Highlanders held a smudge, led by First Nations elder Alison Robinson Cox, and participated in various traditional Indigenous games. The unit would also like to thank First Nations veteran Bill Shead for gifting eagle feathers to the Pipes and Drums for their ceremonial uniforms. Miigwetch , Ullamh!

Pour célébrer la Semaine de Sensibilisation aux Autochtones, les Queen’s Own Cameron Highlanders ont organisé une cérémonie de smudge, dirigée par l’aînée des Premières Nations Alison Robinson Cox, et ont participé à divers jeux autochtones traditionnels. L'unité tient également à remercier l'ancien combattant des Premières Nations Bill Shead d'avoir offert des plumes d'aigle aux cornemuseurs et tambours pour leurs uniformes de cérémonie. Earlier this month, members from the unit rucked and ran in the WPS Half-Marathon. To begin the ruck, troops were piped over the line and rucked a total of 21.1 kilometres.

Plus tôt ce mois-ci, des membres de l'unité ont participé au semi-marathon WPS. Pour commencer le ruck, les troupes ont traversé la ligne et parcouru un total de 21,1 kilomètres.

A big congratulations to Master Corporal Cameron Dawson on his win at yesterday evening's Prairie Piping Invitational solo contest in Regina, Saskatchewan. MCpl Dawson has been a piper in the Queen's Own Cameron Highlanders of Canada for several years and currently serves as the unit's full-time recruiting NCO. He is also a member of the grade 2 Rocky Mountain Pipe Band.

Félicitations au caporal-chef Cameron Dawson pour sa victoire au concours solo Prairie Piping Invitational d'hier soir à Regina, en Saskatchewan. Le Cplc Dawson est joueur de cornemuse dans le Queen's Own Cameron Highlanders du Canada depuis plusieurs années et il est actuellement le sous-officier recruteur à temps plein de l'unité. Il est également membre du Rocky Mountain Pipe Band de 2e année.
