QOCHoC Pipers at St. John’s Cathedral

On December 14th, 2024, the Queen’s Own Cameron Highlanders of Canada pipers performed at the Christmas concert at St. John’s Cathedral.

The winter concert is a seasonal highlight, hosted by The Regimental Band of The Royal Winnipeg Rifles. Pipers with the QOHCOC are invited to perform with this highly-regarded military band at most of their concerts. The performances reinforce a military connection between members of the two regiments, both based at 38th Brigade Group at Minto Armoury.

This year, the QOCHOC were represented by:
WO Brad Clyde, CD, Sgt. Cameron Dawson,
Cpl. Carly Scott, CD, and Mr. Malcolm Dawson.

This three-minute video features the much loved Skye Boat Song, Annie MacLeod, composer, arr. Roy W. Kaighin.

This concert was the last one to be led by the celebrated conductor Winnipeg Rifles Director of Music Cpt. Ryan Werhrle, CD. Cpt. Werhrle is taking up new duties as a member of the regular forces with the Canadian Armed Forces after Christmas.
